The opening night gala preview of SOFA New York 2005 at the Seventh Regiment Armory on June 1 provided “this stunning array of art” so labeled by the NY Times.  It  features not only cutting edge design trends by more than a thousand artists, but the theme this year was A Taste of New York.  Food tables throughout the floor included creations from Beacon, Café Boulud, David Burke and Donatella, E.A.T, Fresh Shore and Coast, LaGoulue, Michaels, Park Avenue Café, Zarela and wonderfully fresh Brooklyn Ice Cream served with fudge in cups or sugar cones wrapped patriotically in disposable American Flag designed paper.

Event co-chairs incuded Jack Lenor Larsen of the Longhosue Foundation gardens in Easthampon and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York also pictured here with two of his co-chairs.
