Ethan Hawke, Oliver Platt, Griffin Dunne, Josh Lucas  and Joan Allen read from the nominated novelists’ works at the Fifth Annual Young Lions Fiction Award at the NY Public Library which was presented to winning novelist Andrew Sean Greer, for his novel, The Confessions of Max Tivoli by President of the NY PL, Dr. Paul leClerc.

Greer won over his competitors with a brief speech that included his being bowled over with ingenuous praise of all o the other nominated novelists who had become his friends and hoped that because he won, they would turn into his ex friends which he would have to call his “fremenies”.
